Board Member Nominations

Dr. Geoff Richardson
My family and I have enjoyed the benefits of LWSC for twenty years. My kids have learned to Nordic and alpine ski on the trails and slopes of Leavenworth thanks to the many parent volunteers and coaches that make our club special.  Because of our club, my children have been able to compete in ski racing at the regional and national level. As a local physician and novice skier, runner, and biker my goal is to help perpetuate club’s success by enhancing our mountain culture in the winter months and beyond.  I am encouraged that our club is evolving and finding ways to become a hub for year round outdoor activities.  We are fortunate live in in this valley and LWSC plays an integral part of making this town unique.

Calen Williams
My family lives in Leavenworth and I have two children active on the ski teams. Our 3rd child should start skiing in the next couple of years. She is currently 1. My wife and I have both grown up in the Wenatchee Valley.

Adam Pfleeger
I grew up sliding on snow. Our family sledded on the hill behind our house in a giant 4 person bright orange toboggan. We Nordic skied along the train tracks and downhill skied at the resorts across Oregon. I sold poinsettias and wreaths to fund raise money to ski race on our coed high school ski team and placed 6th in state for combined slalom and giant slalom. After finishing college and being a ski bum at Mt. Baker, I moved to Leavenworth. I was lucky and got the best job in the Valley which was a ski patroller at Ski Hill in 2012. A LOT of great changes have occurred with LWSC since the time I started and I would like to be more deeply involved with these improvements in the future as my daughter begins to grow up sliding on snow.

Adam has a M.S. in Fisheries Science from Oregon State University and has held a number of natural resources based positions since graduating.  He currently works as the Field Supervisor for the Chelan County Noxious Weed Control Board with duties that include grant writing and project management.

Retiring Board Member

ToddTodd Smith
Todd is terming out of his position on the Leavenworth Winter Sports Club Board. Big thank you to your commitment to the club and all of your support.

Born in Leavenworth and a beneficiary of my parents' early involvement in the LWSC (father board member 1973 to 1984), I grew up on the tow and in the tracks.  Racing as a child, and in high school for the Nordic team, 96-98 with Torin Koos, I had the fortune to compete and savor the beauty of the Leavenworth Winter Sports Club.  Now, after returning to Leavenworth, as an architect, husband, father, and community member, I have a different skill set ready to help in an arena that was such an important element in my younger years.  I have an embedded and indebted duty towards the advocacy of the Leavenworth Winter Sports Club that I endeavor to pass on to generations to come.
