Koos Cruisers 1/7 & 1/9

We are obviously hoping that the forecast will be wrong and that we’ll get loads of snow instead of rain. However, in an effort to get us on skis sooner than later we have a Rain Plan (Plan B). There is the possibility that Plan B will get rained out, but we’re trying not to think about that.

We will be following Plan A or B for both Tuesday the 7th and Thursday the 9th.

Plan A: IF the IRT is open we will be practicing there.

IRT

Classic Skis

3:45- 5pm

Plan B: Ski in Plain on the Plain Valley Ski Trails.

We’ve never done this before with the Koos Cruisers, but our entire team has been generously invited by PVST and the Plain Valley Nordic Team to come up there to practice. If we end up in Plain, please have your child thank the PVST & PVNT coaches and staff.

PVST * – park at Plain Hardware and walk across the street to the trailhead

Classic Skis

3:45- ~5pm

* All skiers will need to have a parent signed PVST waiver.

PVST liability waiver

I will also have copies at the carpooling meet-up. Another option is to purchase the PVST kid’s season pass for $10. You might consider this if your family will be skiing in Plain more than a few times this season. I can help your child pick their pass up on Tuesday if you go this route.

As for getting your child to Plain:

Travel Option A – drive your own child(ren) up there.

Travel Option B - Meet at the Mormon Church Parking Lot on Titus between 3:00 and 3:10 for carpooling. We hope to depart at 3:15.

If you plan on driving and have extra room, please consider picking up an additional skier.

Our coaches who have extra room in their cars will collect another child or three. We may also have a Plain Valley Nordic Team van at our disposal.

We will aim to return to the Church parking lot by 6:00.

If you don't want to make dinner head on over to the Munchen Haus for a benevolent night that benefits our Alpine Team!

Either plan: I will have jackets ($50) and hats ($10 for team members, $15 for family) for sale and will gladly be accepting concussion and liability forms.

Please please please keep snow dancing. Even if your feet hurt.
