Week of Feb. 10th
Hey Skiers, still low on the snow situation here in the Bavarian Village, but luckily, we have snow to be found in the area. Last week we had a great contingency of skiers, coaches and parents in the Methow participating in Race to the Sun a 42 km marathon or relay ski. Isabel Menna and Kian Reid did the whole 42 klicks, congrats! A few of our skiers got to meet and have our photo taken with Kikkan Randall! Congrats to all who participated. Also, on the WNC front, a combined effort by LWSC and PVNT to put on 2 local races, both XCX courses, Sat. being skate, and Sunday a classic race. Congrats to our racers who participated in these races as well! From the Seniors: Rory in 1st for U18 F!, Bella Fox 3rd for U16 F on Sunday, Sat: Haley Loewen 1st, Kirsten Jarmin 3rd, Bella Fox 4th.
Here is the plan for the week:
Skill focus: race starts and finishes, easy early week, midweek intervals-skate skiing more this week since last WNC is a skate sprint!
Coaches: plan can be fluid this week-double race weekend for WNC last week and many at SoHo this week.
